I know everyone thinks it’s Palpatine, but my first thought upon hearing the maniacal laugh in the new Star Wars trailer was “it’s the Joker!” My second thought was “oh, shit.” And my third thought was “now I’m gonna be disappointed when I see the movie and evil zombie Luke doesn’t rise from the dead.”

I totally thought "Oh, I guess the Joker is in this." Then after quickly realizing that obviously could not be the case, I wondered if that was supposed to be Luke laughing, but why the sinister laugh, Luke? I didn't twig to Palpatine until I saw his name getting tossed around.

I’m glad I’m not the only one, heh. Yeah, I didn’t even thing of Palpatine until I saw everybody’s comments, because it sounded so much like Hamill’s Joker. And an insane/evil Luke would be a hell of a twist.
