I generally agree, and I make a point to avoid places where I know there are likely to be spoilers - especially unwarned-for spoilers - if I'm trying to avoid them. However, when you wind up coming across spoilers on mainstream news sites, blogs that have never talked about the thing I'm trying to avoid, or other unrelated sites, it gets tricky. You also can't avoid people IRL blurting things out within your range of hearing.
