Yeah, I was gonna say, did OP play Infinite? Because Infinite was pretty much one big long extended metaphor for why religion is bad.

Bioshock Infinite was why white-Christian-nationalism is bad.

Bioshock 2 had "how religion can be twisted to control people" and it's bad.

Even Bioshock 1 had Frank Fontaine using religion to make inroads with the disaffected by running their bibles and injecting more poison into an already poisonous system.

Bioshock Infinite is more in your face about it, but all three were firmly on the side that both enforcing a religious (or a-religious in the case of Bioshock 1) is a bad thing since it gives room for the grifters.
