This secret isn't mine, but it could be. I was bored by IW, so I read every spoiler I could find for Endgame. Now if I'm dragged to see it I know when I can take that bathroom break.

as someone who didn't watch infinity war and only a handful of marvel movies (so basically no investment in anything) i thought it was enjoyable enough up until the ending started dragging its feet, i think it's easy to have a good time with it because of all the fanservice

the dude behind me in cinema was SUPER into it and i don't think he was the only one

99% of the time I try to be as spoiler'free as possible. After the last few MCU movies I'd seen, I was wary and chose to spoil myself for Endgame. And I'm glad I did. It sounds like absolutely everything I wouldn't want in a movie, so I'll skip it. I might watch future MCU films, I might not.

I actually felt Endgame was a fairly serviceable end to 22 films, though not perfect and I didn't like a few things. And I'm taking this as an opportunity to bow out now because I was here mostly for character driven stuff and I think the main MCU writers are more bothered about bending characters to fit a certain plot they had in mind.

I agree. Considering the monumental task of wrapping up such an enormous amount of media, I was honestly surprised at the amount of satisfying closure it was able to give. There were definitely moments that weren't great or felt force, but I felt like the overall plot was a really deft way of closing out this chapter.

I hated IW, so I was right with you on looking for spoilers. Nothing soundsed compelling enough to sit through at the cinema, so I'm gonna wait on this movie until I can borrow it from the library.

I do that for a lot of movies and TV shows, OP. Like you, it takes the pressure off and I can just enjoy it without being all tense about what might or might not happen.

I feel as though I am one of the few people on the planet who loves the Marvel films but really wasn't a fan of Infinity War. I didn't think Thanos was that compelling a villain. There, said it. And their only compelling villain they had left they killed within the first ten minutes. Sigh...
Endgame was great and fun but did have a few meh moments.
