I know nothing about these movies, could someone please explain what this secret is referring to?

So, in these movies, in the first movie, the Viking village of Berk fights with dragons. The main character, Hiccup, figures out another way. So now they ride dragons and make friends with them. And Hiccup wants to teach everyone this new way. Only in the last movie, the message is that prejudice is too strong, so the dragons have to go away to a new place, their origin place, because humans can never get along with them. Which is a pretty messed up message.

Thanks! That does sound pretty messed up.

Are you on crack? The whole point of the dragons being moved to the Hidden World was to A) alleviate the extreme overcrowding problem that Hiccup's animal hoarder tendencies had created when he failed to consider any plan for the future other than bringing home more and more dragons, B) throw off some of the enemies he and Berk had collected *because* of his dragon liberation plans, C) free the dragons from having to fight Berk's battles for it and enable them to live their own lives, D) protect the last dregs of the Night/Light Fury species from a lunatic trophy hunter who was dedicated to wiping out their species.

The dragons were set free to live in peace on a hidden nature preserve until mankind was mature enough to live alongside them in peace without trying to kill them off or use them to fight wars with, not made to go hide away forever because humans can never get along with them.

I think that's what they were trying for, but I don't think that's what came across onscreen. I don't think having the dragons go away was the right choice.
