why would he think you have crappy taste in shows? And if he thinks that he has crappy taste in shows because he watches this, then he probably thinks you get it from him.

I'm not sure he does think that honestly, it's just something I worry about. (Partly why it's a secret, I worry about dumb stuff a lot and rationally know it's stupid but I can't help but feeling like I'm being judged for things.)

I wouldn't sweat it, op. It's so common it's a cliche that parents don't understand what their kids like and often think it's dumb.
