Very much not against people passionately defending something they enjoy, I do that too. But sometimes it seems to come close to crossing over into something else.
I don't think I've ever observed similar behaviour with a clothing brand. I'm not sure how that would work...something like "that t-shirt is a little dull for my tastes" "YOU JUST DON'T GRASP THE COMPLEXITIES OF THE LOGO CONTRASTED WITH THE UNCONVENTIONAL STITCHING IN THE COLLAR!" ??

It's probably a whole other comment or phenomenon where I find it odd how alleged loyalty means people are essentially hate watching. Nostalgia isn't a good enough reason to stick around if you hate the experience that much.
