107. This is unfortunately probably true - Nobody wants to waste the effort getting involved with someone else's original fiction, and just about the only way to get support for this kind of endeavor is to seek out someone else who writes and values their own original fiction over their fanfiction.

I don't understand that, really. I mean, imagine being a troll, posting a secret that you yourself consider to be beyond the boundaries of good taste or sanity. As a troll, you know people will be upset because you specifically offer up something that you know to be upsetting. How is that funny for anyone? I mean, "look, people who think something is cruel/nasty/disgusting and say so". Just because it isn't true doesn't make it any less bad, because it was specifically designed to trigger certain emotions.
I honestly don't understand what trolls would get out of it. And considering that, the secrets can all be judged on their content, not authorial intent. It doesn't and shouldn't matter if they are actually true, because they could be.
Uhm. *makes flaily gesture* I guess I've thought about this too much^^
