This is basically my feelings on it as well.

For all that I would have preferred Clint do be the one to die, mostly because I find him pretty boring, her being the one to die made complete narrative sense and it was treated as a Big Important thing, and the scene with her and Clint? Fucking marvelous, loved it, completely fitting to the both of them.

So I'm not mad she was the one to go, I do however wish she'd gotten a proper funeral as well because that kind of sacrifice absolutely deserved it. It didn't need to be exactly like Tony's, which was more public, but a small funeral for her with the OG Avengers, that would have been a nice send-off for her to really round-out her arc.

Yeah, I too would have liked some larger acknowledgement. There were a number of small private moments of mourning, and most of them were delicate and lovely, but taking Thanos down WAS a group effort, and without Nat's sacrifice there would not have been an Iron Gauntlet, so.... yeah.

Yeah the small moments were fine and I liked them, that showed that her actions had an effect and mattered. But she also deserved to have a small memorial or something afterwards, not just for the characters but for the audience, to fully send her off to complete her journey.

Exactly, her sacrifice was Important in order to beat Thanos and to bring everyone back. She's every bit the hero Tony was.

I dunno about the funeral thing, myself, but...i hate funerals, so that's just me.

Hell it didn't need to be a funeral necessarily, but a small wake-like thing where she's acknowledged fully for how important her sacrifice was. Because narritively those are done to impart upon the audience at how important the character/actions were, and she deserved her moment every bit that Tony did.

She did have a moment of recognition between Clint and Wanda. Not much, but there. I guess...she was a private person, she made the ultimate sacrifice for her 'found family' that she loved, and everyone honored her decision and was thankful for it.

I guess I don't really see Natasha caring about a funeral, or a wake, or anything else. Clint got to go home and get his family back, that's all she cared about.
But I get where you're coming from.

That's why I feel a small, private, gathering of the OG lot would have been appropriate, because as you said: she was a private person so I didn't need anything like Tony's funeral for her. Just something small at the end for her, mostly for the audience to close off her arc.

But otherwise that's my only niggle with her story in Endgame, the Clint+Nat scene is gonna own my heart for so long tbh.
