That no one else seems to know about?

Six! I even wrote fic for it! It wasn't high art, but it made me laugh a lot, which is all I can ask for anymore.

Also Valerian and The City of A Thousand Planets.

I enjoyed that film! Valerian was a total knob but the rest of the characters were awesome.

Right! And it was so .... huge and interesting. Too bad we're not likely to see a sequel.

Lone Star State of Mind. Such a hilarious movie that seemingly no one but my family saw.

Show: The Kettering Incident. I think I found a Reddit thread on it once? I gather it got mixed reviews but I don't even run into people who didn't like it, just people who have never heard of it.

Movie: Dark Star. Back in the day it was well-known at science fiction conventions but "the day" was a long time ago now and I virtually never find anyone who's heard of it.

My dad loves Dark Star!

I wish it was available on one of the larger streaming services so that it would be more well known.

I discovered Darkstar by accident through Amazon prime (we only had 99c to rent a film). I love it! Wish more people knew about it too.

Persona 3. Everyone LOVES 4 and 5 is getting a decent following but 3 just seems to have never gained the same fandom even though the stakes are a lot higher in 3 than the other two, arguably.

(I still need to beat 5 if that matters tho)

Persona 3 is plain and simply a better game than the next two! It's one of my favourite games of all time!

You know, it's funny, because while I played P3 and enjoyed it, for some reason I just... couldn't get invested in the cast the same way I did with P4 and P5, and to this day I don't know why that is.

there were two shows I was OBSESSED with as a kid, Tomfoolery and the Curiosity Shop, that no one but me remembers and they don't exist on DVD. I could only find one very short clip of each on youtube and the Curiosity Shop one was mostly opening credits. :(

Well...

TV shows that for a while I was sure I had actually completely made up because all I got were blank stares when I described them:
Doctor in the House et al. (a British series that aired on our PBS station)
Something Is Out There

TV shows that I’m absolutely sure a bunch of people watched but don’t get talked about or referenced like other shows of the same era:
You Can’t Do That on Television
Anything But Love
Another World
Homefront

TV shows that were pretty bad, but I remember fondly anyway and I am a little wistful that I never hear anything about them even though I totally understand why they are so forgettable :
Double Trouble
It’s a Living
Misfits of Science
Sidekicks

Movies that I think should have been more popular:
Playing By Heart
Wimbledon
The Thing Called Love

I don't know that I've seen a full episode, but I still randomly get "The Misfits of Science" theme song stuck in my head.

I was, to my best recollection, a huge Misfits of Science fan as a kid and I was salty for years that I missed the last episode before it got cancelled because my dad wanted to take us out to dinner (yes pre-VCRs). But I can't actually remember anything about the series except the name. I'd love to see it again in order to judge my child self's taste.

Nobody around me knows about the Canadian "western" Bordertown from the late 90s. fuckin loved that show. Loved the Mountie especially. wish I could find it somewhere.
