Persona 3. Everyone LOVES 4 and 5 is getting a decent following but 3 just seems to have never gained the same fandom even though the stakes are a lot higher in 3 than the other two, arguably.

(I still need to beat 5 if that matters tho)

Persona 3 is plain and simply a better game than the next two! It's one of my favourite games of all time!

It's the only reason I try to keep a PS2 in working order, so I can keep replaying it. It's my favorite game of all time, hands down. 4 seemed like such a step down like... okay, murders are cool to solve and stuff but the last game was Saving The World so... 5 is fun but it's a lot of flash bang over substance in a lot of places I think. I am enjoying it a ton but it's still not holding a candle to 3.

I have never found 2 for purchase so I don't know anything about it.

If you ever have 30+ hours to spare, there's movie playthroughs without all of the battle filler available to watch.

oh wow cool! thank you for this! (I know the video game in P3 is based on the actual P2 plot but there's not much beyond a hospital intro and two characters' names?)

You know, it's funny, because while I played P3 and enjoyed it, for some reason I just... couldn't get invested in the cast the same way I did with P4 and P5, and to this day I don't know why that is.

That's honestly how I felt about P4. I just didn't gel with the characters the same way. I just loved 3's gang so much (even though Fuuka gets annoying in the dungeons, but all the support characters do for the most part, you know?) (oh and Yukari. I just hated Yukari).

Yeah, P3's cast just didn't click with me for whatever reason. Except for Shinjiro and... LOL.

oh sadface lol. I just loved Junpei's whole storyline (though the acting is a little cringeworthy now given it's Vic Mignogna). Akihito and Shinjiro's plot was lovely and Mitsuro's was to me as well. I know a lot of people hate Aegis but I love her so much. I even love the freaking dog.

I've tried playing 4 twice and I can't remember anyone's names and I haven't followed a story far enough for it to grab me (except the possible bisexual???? boy) so I feel guilty, like I'm not giving all the gang a chance. One day I will solve those murder mysteries, guys, I swear!

YEAH I was really invested in Akihito and Shinjiro and then that happened and I ended up stopping playing the game for almost a month because I was so salty, ahaha. They were the two characters I cared about the most and then that just sort of ruined it. I liked Akihito but that was about it, I was pretty ambivalent on the others. Maybe some day I'll give it another try and see if I feel any differently about it now years later.
