I was just talking to my brother about this. There is no reason for the two of them to agree to marriage. Jon may find it uncomfortable but he would understand that marriage would be a wise idea, especially to remain king in the North. The excuses made in the show are flimsy.

I hate the idea of Jon on the throne, but I can think of one reason they shouldn't marry. Dany believes herself to be barren, so what is she going to do about heirs? Even if she ends up on the throne, her best recourse is to have Jon marry and have kids with someone else, and declare those offspring heir.
