I hate it when people whose job it is to deliver food, instead of calling the number on the order to make sure they're at the right address, receive a message from another number and just deliver the food there? And when people receive food that has someone else's name on it they just take the food? And, oh, the company that delivers the food isn't even the company that makes the food so your customer service rep tells you that the restaurant will send you an e-mail and the issue will be "resolved".

In my country, all food delivery services are cash-on-delivery. Yes, it does mean you have to live in cash-based society but this is one instance where I see the advantage. You CAN pay in advance but when almost everyone else is doing COD, no one would just claim food that isn't theirs.

That definitely has benefits. Like I would probably order less takeout because I never have cash lol. I think I'm done with food apps.

I mean, I think it's just pure bad design on these developers' part. With the rise of e-wallets and payment services, no way can they not make it where you can't hit the pay button on your phone only once the food is delivered.

Might be a good argument for only ordering from places that gave their own delivery people.

That's nowhere around here but I think I'm just gonna cook or pick up, at least for a while.
