In my country, all food delivery services are cash-on-delivery. Yes, it does mean you have to live in cash-based society but this is one instance where I see the advantage. You CAN pay in advance but when almost everyone else is doing COD, no one would just claim food that isn't theirs.

That definitely has benefits. Like I would probably order less takeout because I never have cash lol. I think I'm done with food apps.

I mean, I think it's just pure bad design on these developers' part. With the rise of e-wallets and payment services, no way can they not make it where you can't hit the pay button on your phone only once the food is delivered.
