1. Most people don't focus on the point of my secret, but rant about stupid elements of it. And I just feel like screaming, 'Hey dumbass, was that the point of the secret? NO! NEXT!'

4. I'm sure a lot of people.

5. Haha, filler makes me laugh. At least some filler does have an okay storyline, but it usually ends up becoming mind-numbing as it continues. Yes Bleach I am looking at you.

6. Aerith is the Japanese spelling of it, but it did't become popularized until Kingdom Hearts and suddenly everyone was using it. She has and always will be Aeris to me. Aerith sounds stupid and seems trendy more than anything. It's like using Zeng instead of Tseng or better yet I saw some dumbass using Shion which is a fan-sub mistake.

7. I can sympathize. While I've never played the game, Castlevania: HoD had such a horrid soundtrack -- which is shocking considering the other games -- that when I play it on am emulator I turn down the music volumne and play MP3s instead.

1. But picking at stuff is the best part D:

6. Shion is actually an easy error to make, 'cause the katakana for TSU looks like SHI and Tseng's name is something like TSON in Japanese, so it comes out kinda like SHION...

Guh, this might be easier.

ツォン -> シオン
^ TSON ^SHION

6. Yeah, I understand making the mistake translating ... however, I saw an English speaking person use the name Shion instead of Tseng in a fic and then argue with people who told her that it was a translation mistake in the original fan-sub.

._o

Uh, yeah. Wow.

No words.

Yeah. It was ... kind of pathetic. On both fronts. I just sat there and laughed at the idiocy raging on both sides.

I saw similar fun on ff.net where someone had Kadaj calling Rufus 'Taichou' ... since apparently someone had watched too much Bleach and thought that's what everyone was calling Rufus instead of 'Shachou'.

I swear fandom is making me weary in my old age. ::dies.::

HIII

The last syllable in her katakana name is actually "su", so there's no real "correct" translation to speak of. As it were, Aerith sounds retarded.
