I live in Australia, and abortion is technically illegal in several states (which people keep forgetting, even if they live in those states, because the "technically" is "unless the health of the woman is in danger" and mental health is a consideration, so most people just go to the doctor and get a note and it's done, buuuuut... not always. Because this is not a well thought out system). It's fully legal in my state, but we don't have a dedicated surgical abortion provider because the only one closed last year and the government hasn't done shit about setting up a new one.
Left wing parties in the states where it's limited keep trying to fully legalise it, but inertia is a powerful thing. :c
