(Anonymous) 2019-05-17 04:56 am (UTC)(link)Anyway, if he sticks around for a couple more movies after the first, then he'll actually be about that. But that's kind of a big if.
But I kind of understand them mostly casting actors in their 30s - they want some gravitas, but they also want someone they believe can do stunt-heavy action for some time. I mean, I fully expect that they try to cast with the expectation of at least three movies, even if it doesn't work out.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-17 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)Adam West was one of the "older" ones (born September, 1928, so 37 when the show premiered in January, 1966 and 39 when the last episode aired in March, 1968). Ben Affleck has been the only live-action Batman already over 40 when he debuted.
Anyway, I get why they cast 30-somethings a lot, but I just want some Batfamily, dang it! The myriad of Batman adaptations is one of the fun things about the character and since we've seen both dark and funny versions, I don't see why we can't also mix it up a bit more with his age and get more of the supporting characters in there.
