Sandor is the only one who Sansa has erotic dreams about

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
In the books, not the show. Stay mad.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Why would I be? The show is secondary to the books.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
And the show has eclipsed the books in popular culture, hence why sansan has died out and been replaced by JonSa.

nayrt

It hasn't died out though?

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
That’s like saying because more people watched The Hobbit trilogy than read Tolkien’s work the films matter more.

In terms of how it affects shipping, it does.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Who gives a shit? If Sansan isn’t as prevalent it’s because there hasn’t been any new material in a long time. When they had their reunion this year tumblr was all over it

Aaaand now he's dead so the ship will be forgotten in favor of JonSa once again. I love it.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
The show is ending in a week, Sherlock. All the ships will be gone. As long as fandom exists and the books exist Sansan will.

Fandoms still live on. Your ship will never be as big as it once was. The healthy thing would be to acknowledge that you lost rather than cling to this "t-the fandom will die right away after the show ends!!" dream.

‘The healthy thing would be to acknowledge that you lost rather than cling to this "t-the fandom will die right away after the show ends!!" dream.’

That is literally the crux of your argument as to why Sansan will die, dumbass.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
It's already been dying lmao. It's basically dead in the books too. People have realized ships like Braime and Gendrya are far more interesting and the dynamic set up between Jon and Sansa is here to stay. Again, admit your ship has been on the decline and will never be popular ever again, it's the healthy thing to do.

Rofl what makes one ship ‘here to stay’ and what doesn’t? Besides you speaking for fandom that is.

Have you declared a ship war or something?

People enjoy different things. Chill.

There's something so creepy about GRRM writing about an underaged girl having wet dreams about a grown ass man who has done some pretty vile shit.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yes we all know teenage girls are sexless

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Except Sansa is not a real girl with autonomy. She is a character written by a creepy old man who has gone on record to say he would date 13 year old Dany because she's hot.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
You do know Dany’s not 13 in the show right? You think everyone who thinks Emilia as Dany is hot wants to sex a kid?

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
He said this before the show, genius. He was referring explicitly to his books, the question was about who he would date in ASOIAF and he said Dany because "she's hot!". He's even said he considered Emilia "too old" to play Dany. Never mind how much detail he goes into sexualizing both the underage Sansa and Dany in the books. I get it, you ship sansan and are desperate in your attempt to insist you're not a creep, but Jesus, GRRM's creepiness has been well documented.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah I’m gonna need sources because GRRM being a pedophile would have been a big deal. Chances are he made a flippant comment thar you’re throwing a tantrum over

Younger woman/Older man is pretty standard for published fiction. Especially young virginal woman/problematic older man.

IRL puberty gonna puberty. Lots of people have age inappropriate crushes. It's a fairly normal teenage thing.

If you mean that GRRM is creepy and writes his own wank fantasies into the books, then yeah I agree.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
See my response to previous anon's "b-but teenagers experience sexuality!!" argument.

Yes, teenage girls experience sexuality, but these are not real teenage girls, they are characters written by adult men. Specifically this adult man who spends an unsettling amount of time detailing their underage breasts and how the girls feel their nipples against fabric and yadda yadda yadda. Might as well argue that the underage orgy scene in IT written by Stephen King wasn't creepy because children experience sexual urges while anon's at it.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Teenagers experience sexuality. That's just a fact. Sexual awakening is a theme in a lot of books written by women as well.

Do I think he writes the female experience of these things with sensitivity and a desire for authenticity? No. They're fantasy books and he writes what he wants to imagine girls think and feel, and it clearly sells.

It's pretty well known that GRRM is creepy and Stephen King was on drugs and wrote creepy shit. I don't know what you're getting at. I'm not disputing that.
