Text: I found the Book Seven explanation of how Ravenclaws get into their common room (answer a question instead of giving a password) to be monumentally stupid.
It's not a bad idea in theory, but the questions seemed to be more philosophical than factual (i.e. "Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?"), and you can be book smart but not good with existential questions. Plus, what if you're a first year muggleborn? You could be stuck out there a long time.
When I first started reading the books, I figured I was a Ravenclaw. But thanks in part to this bit of worldbuilding (and due to growing up), I'm starting to think I may be a Hufflepuff instead.
