Re: Awkward Question Thread
(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)Follow up boob question:
Would it be awkward to go braless in front of family? Not nude, but like, a slightly visible nipple through a thick shirt? The bruise goes past where underwire would sit and I can maybe handle a soft crop top thing, but wearing a real bra will hurt.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)Follow-up: Depends on family. Besides soft crop top or camisole with support, I've read people's positive experiences with BreastNest: https://breastnest.com/
Re: Awkward Question Thread
(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)I could just give people awkward side hugs!
Thanks.
Re: Awkward Question Thread
(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)Regarding the bra thing -- you could probably pick up some breast petals or something similar at Target for cheap-ish to take care any pokey nipple awkwardness. Beyond that, they're your family. Hopefully, as long as one's not pointing northeast and the other southwest or something, they're not scrutinizing your boobs.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-18 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)My family are the type of people who do scrutinise unfortunately. Weight, skin, boobs, hair, clothes.
Thanks for the nipple cover idea!
Re: Awkward Question Thread
I don't have any great advice here but I wish you all the best and hope the biopsy results come out well. I had a breast scare when I was younger. Lots of (gentle right-sided) hugs for you. <3

(Anonymous) 2019-05-19 05:21 am (UTC)(link)It might be cooler tomorrow so hopefully I can wear something baggy and just be like what tits? Lol.
Re: Awkward Question Thread
(Anonymous) 2019-05-19 04:42 am (UTC)(link)But seriously... learn to discourage your family from interrogating you about every aspect of your life. You do it by deciding exactly how much information you want to tell them, and then stonewalling them when they ask further questions. Don't pussyfoot around and try to be nice about it. Ask them why they need to know. Straight up say it's personal, it's private, and you're done talking about it now and you'd like them to respect that or you'll have to leave. Then if they don't respect it, get up and leave. Hang up. Stop texting back. LEAVE.
