I love them if it's the actual, real ending of somthing. I don't like them if it's just a midway point (end to a chapter, season, whatever).

I don't find them frustrating. I usually fill in the blanks myself a lot anyway when consuming media, and the more blanks there are, the more I tend to enjoy it. Especially for things where the writing isn't the absolute best. (for example, the HP epilogue. What I imagined was better than that dumpster fire.)
