Re: Doesn’t the last episode of Game of Thrones air tonight?

So just from what I've read

Did they seriously kill off most of the main women because it sounds like only two really got a big role AND survived, whereas a bunch of the men survived to the end, and even then one of them fucked off leaving one woman ruling an area while the rest is ruled by the men?

Of all the things wrong with this ending, I don't think sexism was one of them.

Sansa got what she wanted all along: for Winterfell to be an independent nation. She didn't seem to have a preference for who ruled that particular area.

Arya's getting to go exploring west of Westeros.

Brienne became one of the Kingsguard, it seems.

I assume Yara is in charge of Iron Islands under the new ruler of the Six Kingdoms.

Gilly was alive and well last I saw some episodes ago, and there's a chance she could have had a girl (this was left unanswered).

Cersei was always going to die. She believed in a dumb prophecy that I think became self-fulfilling after a point. I'm way more upset about who died with her.

Dany had to die. She had become no better than the Night King, even though the writers did a piss poor job of developing her character this season. She was going to do to the rest of Westeros what she had done to King's Landing.

I do hate that a little badass like Lyanna Mormont died, and it would have been nice to see if there was any chance Ellaria survived at all, but I think it would be ridiculous to force certain people to be alive just to ensure "fair" death count totals of both sexes. The deaths were supposed to be random, and a lot of men died too.

Yeah but with all the sexist bullshit elsewhere, it really stands out that, from what I can tell, of the people that Actually Matter in the end, aren't, like, two or three of them women, and one of them fucks off into the great wide world away from any plot whatsoever?

Also the whole "rape victim stabbed with a sword, a traditionally phallic object, while the guy stabbing her kisses her" is gross on a lot of levels. So you can say that, but given I have 0 trust in these writers, I'm not gonna give them the benefit of the doubt.

Away from what plot? The show is over. That was the last episode. There is no plot to fuck off away from.

And if there ever is a sequel following existing characters, it's going to be about Arya's adventures in the West, because that was the most glaring sequel hook in the history of fiction.

You don't watch the show, yet you feel you can accurately judge the writers' intentions based on a summary of the last ep? Now I'm confused.
