There's been a news story going around Twitter today about a study that purports to claim millenials are bad at cooking because they don't know what a butter knife is.

And, OK, yes, I agree, obviously that's stupid as hell. But also, whoever wrote that tweet absolutely knew what they were doing, and you don't need to quote-tweet it with a long thread about how dumb it is, and your personal experience with cooking, and everything like that. It accomplishes nothing. It's pointless. No one really thinks that.
