Undead / living couples

(Anonymous) 2019-05-25 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes or no? Does it depend on what kind of undead?

Hard yes. I love zombie erotica and wish it was as common as vampire erotica. I have a thing for 'flesh rot' and gore in general (it just looks neat) and love stories that delve into the philosophy of 'what it means to be truly alive or dead'.

Romantically, absolutely yes. Sexually ... really depends on the type of undead. Some is gross (zombies, anything rotting), some is either unfeasible or at least difficult (skeleton liches would ... take some work), some is trite (everybody's fucked a vampire at this stage), some of it is interesting (ghosts can go interesting places via either possession or dreams or poltergeist/psychic touching)(although, are ghosts undead or just dead? do they count?)

But romance is pretty much always a-okay for me.

Hard no.

Can't do it, not a fan. One of my major squicks but hey, we've all got some.

This is an interesting question. I was going to say "nah," but then realised that several of my fictional crushes have been undead in some way? So, closet zombiefiddler here, I guess.

I'm good with it, makes things interesting that's for sure~

Yeah, fine, but I start to get squicked if there’s mold/maggots/pus/etc involved.

I draw a hard line at decomposition, and I don't find the descriptions of someone being cold to the touch sexy either. I don't mind human-looking supernatural creatures but I guess I prefer them to be alive by whatever their definition of alive is.

Vampires and ghosts, yes absolutely. Love ghost sex.

Skeletons, no. Zombies, it depends. They're in the grey area.

No. All I can think about is how bad the undead would smell.

Definitely depends on the type - mindless is a nope; decayed but intelligent, romance is OK, sex is nope; incorporeal, romance is great, sex is great if there's a reasonable way it can be explained; vampires, hell yes if they're the traditional type who can feed without killing (the intimacy of feeding on their lover is a huge part of the appeal), and I have no objection, but also no particular love if they're the more recent type who kill every time, so long as they're 'vegitarians' who use animals or donations for their food.

I shipped Buffy/Angel back in the day. In retrospect, that was a bit yikes-y.
