I wish I had friends IRL I could discuss fandoms/generally geek out with. My boyfriend consumes a lot of the same media I do but he generally just half-watches stuff, says it was "okay" and moves on, and isn't really up for discussing anything in-depth past that. I had a circle of geek friends a few years ago but there was some drama and they've all fallen out with each other. I see youtube videos of friends getting together and playing/reviewing games and just think "I wish I was there." I'm super anxious and shy but when it concerns my favourite fandoms I feel so comfortable and could talk for hours, and I don't have anyone to do it with anymore. /whine

Me too. Sometimes I feel like maybe I'm more into a series than someone else is, and that once the series is over, so will their interest. It's a silly fear, but I have it. So I don't really reach out like I want.
