Titanic. I saw it in theaters when it first came out (during it's normal scheduled run, before theaters decided to keep it around for five months). I hated it.

Everyone gushed about how romantic and tragic it was, then I saw it and all's Jack did was boss Rose around all the time. They had a short fling and he died at the end, so now she's got this hyper-idealized version of him in her memory she's still in love with.

Blah.

She idealised him because he died too soon for her to come to her senses? Another interesting Watsonian viewing.

Both Titanic and Avatar were movies I saw to see what the fuss was about and I found them enjoyable to watch, but I have never, ever felt the urge to watch either of them a second time and while I get why they are popular and considered good, I'm still a little bewildered as to why so many people saw them so many times.
