People were so determined to find a reason to complain about both Tony Stark and Whedon that they apparently didn't notice that the whole Sokovia thing is, in fact, Tony getting called out for being a war monger.

That's what I don't get. Wouldn't people want US soldiers to have the best equipement? How does it translate to war mngering.
It's MCU world, I know, but I don't get the logic. It's common sense that it's goverment's fault when terrorists get their hand on US Army weapons.

LOL. Lobbying efforts on the part of weapon manufacturers and other military contractors are a huge factor contributing to US soldiers ending up on foreign soils in the first place. Arms dealers are war profiteers and contribute to the destabilization of the world and global conflicts. It's not all, "Oh em gee, how did our soldiers end up in the desert? Well, gosh, better arm them with the best US of A has to offer!"
