Re: Theists and atheists, what's your general opinion of the other?

one of the atheists above and I agree entirely. I hate the whole "invisible sky daddy" line because while I may think it privately to myself sometimes, I also know that that's not quite how it works. it's condescending to the point of assholery on the part of the speaker while also fundamentally misunderstanding what they're actually objecting to.

"your invisible friend you treat like Santa Claus until things get really tough and then you panic" is a bit closer to the mark but still assholeish.
