I'm so with you on that one OP ! I accept that a piece of media can be criticized on some aspects (acting, storytelling, producing ...), and it can be great, but I hate how virulent some people get about their negative criticism. There's a way to make them that doesn't involve acting like the piece of media is "The worst thing EVER !" nor being shitty and/or condescending to people that simply state that they had fun watching it. For instance, no "Captain Marvel" isn't going to win any awards and it's probably not the best Marvel movie either (but I maintain it was a good movie, for what it was aiming for) so I don't need a lengthy analysis to explain why you (generic "you") think it's trash and I'm stupid for enjoying it. The cinematic experience also has a definite impact.
