The part that bugs me about that is, hasn't the new show implied several times that the Doctor has FORGOTTEN his real name? So how could he tell Mary Sue River Song?

You know, I don't actually know. I had that impression too, that it was so long ago that, if he did remember, he hardly ever thought about it. I don't know if my brain just came up with that all by itself, or what.
