I've said this before here, but I have a scar on my hand from nearly impaling it on my rod iron gate trying to hand over a whole trash bucket filled with old garden clippings.
Instead of opening it, I tried to toss over the half as tall as me garbage can. Halfway through the decaying leaves and gunk started falling out of it and I let go of one side to keep it from dumping all over me. Only it was too heavy to carry on one hand and fell just over the fence, pinning my hand on one of it's handles. Luckily I was passing it to my mom, who somehow didn't notice the whole ordeal, and lifted it up off the fence. I basically just hosed away the blood and made sure not to bleed too much on the floors on my way to fix it all up. I use the gate key now in days.
