I don't think they look great, but I think people are too used to MCU likeness that anything different seems weird. Maybe they were going for a more comic book feel.

They don't really look like their comics versions either, though. Thor's design might be all right if he were blonder? Or maybe he just looks comparatively good because he's blurry in that pic. And Cap's design in particular is dire.
