Re: What are some little annoying things in your life right now?

A couple months ago I got my first pap smear and the results came back as a bacterial infection. The doc said it’d probably go away on its own, and if it didn’t in the next four weeks to call and he’d give me an antibiotic prescription.

I got my period shortly after and in the general misery I honestly coudn’t tell if it was still a problem, since I actually didn’t have any symptoms that I noticed—or at least, not symptoms of a bacterial infection. I’d originally gone in thinking I had a UTI or something because I have to pee all the time and everything below my bellybutton is vaguely uncomfortable. But the UTI test came back negative.

About a week ago, I started having some of the same issues again so I called my doc’s office and the nurse said I had to come in for a recheck. They did a vaginal swab but not a UTI test, and this time since the bacterial infection was gone, they said I was fine and added the perennial “eat less, exercise more.”

I don’t feel fine. I’m overweight and could stand to eat less. I do however walk over six and a half miles a day, which means so far this year I’ve walked over 1,000 miles. GDI, I just want to go back to not paying much attention to below my waist except when I shower. I hate feeling like there’s something wrong and not knowing what it is or how to fix it.

I’m a virgin, so it’s not pregnancy. My blood sugar is highish but still normal, so it’s not diabetes making me have to pee constantly. My blood work didn’t turn up anything weird. I dunno wtf is going on.

A long shot but by any chance are you taking vitamin d supplements? I was urinating like crazy for a while and had no idea what was going on since my fluid intake was the same as usual. Turns out it was my vitamin d supplements, since my doctor said my levels were extremely low and gave me high doses to get me back up to normal.

Hey, I'm overweight and get weird pee problems that aren't UTIs or anything else observable, so here's what I do whenever I start getting that familiar feeling:

I know it feels counter-intuitive considering how much you have to pee, but drink water like crazy. You want to be peeing super clear. Also try to avoid acidic stuff-- coffee, anything carbonated, citrus, tomato-based things, spicy things, stuff like that.

See if you can get your hands on something called D-Mannose, and take that once or twice a day depending on your discomfort level-- it basically flushes through your urinary tract and grabs anything that might be "clinging" (any traces of bacteria or yeast or what have you) so you'll just pee everything out.

Sleep without pants or underwear. You wanna air the girl out a little when you can.

Usually if I follow this for a few days, I start feeling perfectly fine again!
