What loved characters do you hate?

some MST fans really hate Pearl, I don't get it, I like her, she was just as funny as the other Mads.

I do think the best seasons were Mike + the Mads, but Pearl is a riot and I love her. Bobo and Brain Guy weren’t nearly as funny, though, which I think hurt her seasons. It’s too bad she couldn’t have just had one funny sidekick instead of two kinda lame ones. (Roger Whitaker, maybe?)

I really liked Bela and Becky on Supernatural. Hate is maybe too strong a word, but I really didn’t like Jo.

I'm with you on Bela. I loved her.

I wouldn't say Jo was a loved character? I thought she was pretty much hated too, at least from what I remember of fandom where I was back then. She wasn't a favorite of mine, but I liked her well enough.

I like Bela and Becky.

I can't stand Mary. I'm only on Season 14 and I keep hoping she dies.

Cynthia Velasquez from Silent Hill 4. People basically write her off as a "slut" and that annoys me for all kinds of reasons.

It's hard to think of loved characters that I hate. BBC Sherlock maybe but to be fair I only watched one episode. And Ferris Bueller but a lot of people hate him.

Aw, Cynthia’s great. D: I, too, would be trying to get some action if I thought I was having a nightmare. Swing that shit around! But once she kinda figured out what was going on, she snapped out of that and did her best. Poor thing.

yeah, I hate Ferris too, he's a smug entitled little fuck.

Hated character that I love: Kylo Ren. Yes he's awful and he's done awful things. He's a villain. Maybe he'll be redeemed, maybe he won't be, and honestly I don't care either way. I love a conflicted idiot of a bad guy.

I completely love him as a villain and a character, but I also feel very alienated from the rest of his fans because I'm not at all interested in shipping him (and also, I'm not attracted to Adam Driver, so that's another difference, lol)

I feel the exact same way about Kylo.

Hated characters I like: Bela(SPN), Ruby(SPN), Charlie(SPN), Clary(SH), Iris West(DCTV), Rose(SW), Micheal(ST: Disco).

Loved characters I ~~hate~~ strongly dislike: Tony Stark sometimes, Stiles(Teen Wolf), Keith(Voltron), the random cadets(Voltron), Coulson(MCU).

Edit: loved character I hate: fucking Sasuke, how the hell did I forget how much I loathed that little twerp?

Hated character I like: Anise from Tales of the Abyss. I’ll fight to the death for that girl. She got done wrong by almost everyone in her life and had to take all the responsibility for it, then got backed into a corner and blackmailed to do shit she didn’t want to do. She was 13. She was scared. I love her. >:T

Loved character I hate: Ignis from FFXV. Largely this is due to his fanbase, but fuck, did his episode have to go so fucking hard on the yandere scale? It took him from caring friend and caretaker to fuckin singularly obsessed and completely unhealthily attached. Yikes. I like to pretend a lot of that shit didn’t happen, for the sake of everyone’s mental health.

I'll be right beside you fighting to the death for her, I love Anise. She has such a great character, it's very well developed, and honestly she has the least amount of faults in the series. She goes through so much, an extremely important job, and still the heart to put on a brave face.

Most of my favorite Pokémon lol

I dislike JD (Scrubs) and Rodney McKay (SGA). (For a while

seasons 3 and 4 I really disliked Daniel Jackson (SG-1), but his character improved after he de-ascended.

I can't think of any hated characters that I love atm, though there are a few hated characters I don't mind (like Riley Finn and Xander from Buffy).

I liked Ashley Seaver. I liked Dawn on Buffy. I liked Cersei. I mean, she was a terrible person, but a great character. I liked April Kepner.

Is Jo on Grey's Anatomy loved? I know Alex is loved. Can't stand either of them. Also not fond of Jon Snow. He's just really boring. Same with Bran. Not sure if Xander Harris was loved or not, but I don't like him. Don't like Rose Tyler. She was okay in her first season, but series 2 and following made me hate her.

I hate MCU Steve Rogers. I've liked other versions of the character, but outside of TFA and maybe like...half? of WS, the writers and directors seemed to have no idea what to do with him, so he turned into this generic YAY AMERICA action dude.

Loved character I hate: Ned Stark. Also Rob Stark to a lesser extent and Jon Snow. They weren't as bad as Ned, but they had some of the same flaws that the show liked to pretend weren't flaws.

Loved character I hate: Diamond from Houseki no Kuni. They're always either boring or annoying, and I think the fandom loves them just because they're the prettiest and most feminine-seeming of the main characters.

Scrappy-Doo... but to be fair I only watched some of the version with Vincent Price's character. I actually hated what they did in the live-action movie, though I can appreciate the nod they gave to all the fans who hated him;;

Charles Lee, from Assassins Creed 3. I love that guy. Connor's rampage against him was so personally tainted. The fact that fucking Haytham is given a thousand and two excuses, (only matched by Ed's thousand and three) when he was the one in charge of their brigand pisses me off to no end. The game even shows you visually how opinions can drastically alter the Animus' state. With Lee's 'yes man' attitude and put together appearance with Haytham, mixed with 'genocidal manic child beater who's never once looked in a mirror in his life' manic you see with Connor... (also Thomas Hickey, because his death line is amazing)

Warren from Buffy. I can't even try to explain it without giving every reason why I should hate him. He didn't mean to kill Tara, he wasn't trying to be a creep when he made those androids, he had a reason to hate Buffy... Like none of that makes him any better, let alone right, but I just really liked him.

Last and least. Sasuke.
I stopped reading/watching Naruto after the Sasuke retrieval arc, but kept mostly up to date on the goings on through people who still bared through it. Basically I made a joke that he's just seriously mentally insane, and started taking it way too seriously. I disliked him more when I was watching it (a lot) than I do now with my false introspective understanding that he's a deeply written handicapped individual, who's mentality crumbles and cripples himself as the story goes on...

Hated character I like: Elektra Abundance. I'm so happy the rivalry is back on.

Loved characters I hate: Steve and Tony. I don't have much respect for Avengers-adjacent character writing in general, and I'm deeply sick of the hype.
