I slept in until 10AM today. I haven't slept in late like that in years. It was surprising but kinda nice too.

I meant to do cooking and cleaning but I'll be lucky if I even finish the "cooking" part. I need more self-discipline. Usually I'm on top of the cleaning more or less but the place looks bad now. I'm having a lot of stress, mostly due to work, which is part of it I think.

(I even considered having a service come in to clean but it's too expensive and not worth it.)

Somebody almost hit me on the freeway, so when I got home, I spent a really long time trying to calm myself down. I have bad driving anxiety, but was starting to feel okay going to work on the freeway instead of surface streets. I’ll be back on the surface streets tomorrow.

Trying to do all this housework I've been putting off for weeks. The sheets need washing, the towels need washing, there's clean laundry piled up in my room, I need to actually PUT AWAY the dishes once I wash them... and the carpet is just disgusting :(
Can't I just dig a hole in the yard and pull the grass over myself?

I've been doing some cooking for a relative - mostly stew, so she can freeze it and take it out as needed - and her preferences are so fucking baroque??? She wants so much salt! She doesn't like what she calls "Mediterranean herbs", and I've *only* used herbs that grow in England, which is WHERE SHE COMES FROM, and I'm talking the most stereotypically English herbs here: parsley, rosemary, thyme! Occasionally very small amounts of black pepper! What does she even want?

I also do her weekly shopping and - and this isn't really a gripe - how the fuck does one tiny skinny old woman eat two kilos of yoghurt in one week? Two AT MINIMUM???

One of my tumblr friends cannot reblog anything without adding a gif or a comment or a bunch of emojis or all of those things to the post. I like her and I know it's her blog and she can add whatever she wants to the posts on her blog...but damn its annoying to have to reblog from the OP in order to avoid all the STUPID, UNNECESSARY GIFS.

I had to replace my router, and i actually got it to work/show up/connect
but now the Monstrous can't get her phone to connect to the wi-fi and fuck me, I don't know about that!!

I love my new glasses. But it is taking a bit to get used to the new prescription. Don't wait 4 years to get your eyes checked. Combining the eye strain with the sinus infection I already have is giving me a nasty headache.

Also, my brother-in-law is coming to visit for a few days. My understanding was that he would be boarding his dog. Found out today that no, the dog is coming with him. My cat is terrified of the dog. She's going to be miserable, and there is nothing I can do about it. I'm angry and frustrated.
