In junior high school a teacher refused to let my friend give me "cuts" in the lunch line even though I had a shortened lunch period because of a science project. Then (weeks later if not months) she gave a girl cuts in the lunch line herself and when I complained to her she said she couldn't believe I even remembered the time she wouldn't let me do it. So... pretty incredibly petty.

I'm not still mad about it now and I have limits to what I'll carry around with me in my head but I still remember it all these years later which is actually kind of sad.

teachers do and say stupid shit when they're tired and cranky. she should have at least said "you know, you're right" then apologized to you and sent the kid to the back of the line.
