I wholeheartedly agree. She fucked up when she was younger. I don't particularly like her writing but she's not the spawn of Satan just because she made bad choices when she was younger.

I wasn't expecting anyone to come up with receipts. My point was that aside from
1) "Cassie Clare is a plagiarist"
2) "She was so toxic and power tripped with her inner circle when she was a BNF in the LOTR/Harry Potter fandom"
3) "Cassie Clare is a fuggo fatty"
why do we not know more? Like, someone is going to write, "No she's done worse than plagiarizing/was an elitist as a BNF" then like, that shit would have hit the fan already because CC criticism hit its peak a few years ago. This just seems like pettiness for pettiness's sake. Start building that bridge, because the inability to get over it is hurting those who don't like CC more than it is hurting her.

Younger? She was almost 30 when the plagiarism scandal broke and was in her 30s when she didn't know people should have renter's insurance and her laptop was allegedly stolen.

Except for that one person, all the people in Cassie's clique were in their late 20s and 30s and beyond. Younger... Yeesh.

I mean. If she'd been a teenager or even in her early to mid-twenties, that'd be one thing. It'd also be another thing if she'd actually acknowledged that she did some pretty shitty things, apologized, and tried to make amends.

But she was an adult. 30 is plenty old enough to know better. She's not the spawn of Satan, no. But she fucked up, and never apologized afaik.
