Smoking is a gateway drugs, not weed, that would be the next step. I'd say that liquor is more harmful in the way that it is more legal of the two. Most people think less of it, think that it isn't a drug (same with cigarettes) because it is legal. Weed is only different because the tolerance involved is thought of being less because 'just having one' is still considered an offence. Alcohol used to be the same, but with association comes regularity, and doing something again and again makes it seem like less. So more drugs becoming more available to the public makes me disagree with you, no matter what the form of them are. Kids will smoke, 'stoners' will use drugs, and everybody drinks.
