I really like Will and I'd love to see more of him, but only if he gets to be more active and do things by choice, rather than basically having his part in the story forced onto him.

I loved Nancy and Johnathan in S1, so I'm not really prepared to say I want to see less of them, but I definitely don't feel like their characters have been particularly well used since S1, so I don't totally disagree with OP either.

Overall I think one of the show's biggest weaknesses, since S1 ended, has been an inability to build on and deepen the characters they established in S1. Because I feel like they established some really great characters in S1, but then they just kind of stopped building that side of the story, and went entirely into "Ok so what crazy shit's gonna happen this season?!" mode. So we've basically just had two season where the characters are all slowly getting more muddled and less compelling -- vehicles for the plot rather than what's driving the plot.
