I was way more invested in the Toothless and Hiccup friendship than in Hiccup and Astrid. So the ending disappointed me even though I still enjoyed the movie.

I liked the movie right up until the end. The end *literally* ruined my enjoyment of the entire rest of the series... if I didn't decide to just ignore it and imagine Berk living in harmony with dragons instead. I don't know who wrote it, but they wrote it wrong.

It wasn’t the only thing I went into the movie for, but it did make me feel better at the end ...

The only reason I wanted to see this movie was because of the gifs of them getting married I saw on tumblr. That's it.
