I haven't finished yet (and obviously don't care about spoilers) but... yeah, no way he's going to stay dead. I liked Hopper as a character more before they kept cranking his temper up to 11 (haha) and his jealousy of any male Joyce talked to got super old, super fast.

IA. I figure it's one of those subplots that vanish off the radar (sort of like Barb) and not a deliberate omission. This show is good, but it's not always good at continuity.

I was way more invested in the Toothless and Hiccup friendship than in Hiccup and Astrid. So the ending disappointed me even though I still enjoyed the movie.

I thought Toy Story 3 was a good place to end it so was really not here for Toy Story 4 when it was announced. But then I heard Tom Hanks on BBC Radio 2 talking about how recording his final lines made him falter emotionally. So I thought ok...I'll give this a chance.

Toy Story 4 was a good place to leave it for the toys whereas 3 was Andy's ending. So I hope they don't make more now as well.

Having said that I'm a little deflated that Andy told Bonnie how special Woody is and then all *that* happened but I guess it's realistic that a little kid isn't going to understand the feelings of someone who has been there, done that in terms of growing up.

I imagine it was the little girl in the red coat who was terrified and had no idea what was going on.

Or the children in the concentration camp who hid in the outhouse and ovens when they were taking all the children away to be burnt and killed.

Or, you can think of them as that girl who was born into a world where everyone was telling her that a certain group was her enemy by literally everyone she knew. Sounds sort of like a certain queen who was born into a world being told by everyone she HAD to rule Westeros and kill anyone who got in her way.

Sometimes we never completely figure out why we're drawn to certain things, OP.

I personally believe that fantasies can tell us what we need to become whole. Given that, only you are going to figure out what these particular fantasies are saying to you, OP -- but I will say that as someone who had similar fantasies for a long time, I came to realize that (as odd as it sounds) they gave me a way to see myself as strong and of value to the world.

First of all I'm sorry that you were made to feel the unfavourite. I don't think people realise how much children can pick up with this stuff. Anyway, I get you. Because I was the more academically gifted compared to my sister and I feel like I'm supposed to relate more to Gamora. But I don't. My sister was in more with the "popular" crowd (though they bullied her too when it suited them) and she turned on me a few times to save her own skin so I actually relate more to Nebula in this dynamic. I get her rage too. Ultimately I feel sorry for both of them to have such a shitty father figure.

It's funny because I'm the elder sister (only by 11 months but still) so people expect me to be the one in the position of strength. Nope. I often end up identifying with younger siblings in fictional dynamics. Probably quite unusual. Idk.
