I wondered the same thing, actually. The way she dresses could kinda be taken that way I guess but nothing in the game said she was like a raging whore. *dies* She was actually pretty professional at Gongaga... ifIrememberright

Personally I see the semi-slutty appearance as like a power thing for her... if people want her, she's in control. And stuff. :D Doesn't mean she's actually gonna go around sleeping with people or anything and *dies* aghkdtgaht oh man, now I wanna write Scarlet.

Yeah, but sex wasn't really ever explicitly mentioned in the game, which means you have to pick up on what Square put in (quite like Duane and Katarin in FF6). Scarlet is the stereotypical vamp in a red dress with too much lipstick. Hell, she had a bitchfight minigame.

But you also have to look at Japanese vs. American cultural mores. I mean, you hear all the time about how the Japanese have some view of America that isn't accurate or just made from the media. The voluptuous woman in the slinky red dress with lots of makeup is a view, accurate or not, of a sexual woman here. It may be an outdated concept, but it is a concept nonetheless.
