5. It's already like that, imho. Zexion wasn't a trendy emo boy until KH2 hit and the Organization was suddenly big, for example. I never saw uber-feminine!Marluxia until after KH2.

And it's not a matter of being a fan of them longer - it's a matter of having played COM and getting their characterizations RIGHT.

10. Yeah, that's something that's always bothered me in other fandoms. "Edo" rather than the intended "Ed" for FullMetal Alchemist, Seras VS Selas VS Celes (which I STILL cannot figure out how they got those other two o_o), and a lot of others. It's always been an issue with me: if the setting is psuedo-European (or actually in an English speaking country), then it's meant to be spoken with the English name DX I dunno, I think I'm just being nitpicky.

Oh..the secret? Um...yeah the Turks are not whores. I'm not even sure that Scarlet is a whore. Annoying as hell yes, whore...well maybe, maybe not.

As for "the Turks do not think that rape is not a big deal", I'm not sure exactly what you're saying here, that they wouldn't rape or that if raped they wouldn't consider it not a big deal. Personally I think they would use rape as a torture tactic (they are not nice people!). As for being raped, I just think it wouldn't destroy them, that they wouldn't go all emo and angsty about it.

They'd hunt down the sob who did it to them and KILL him ... slowly .... painfully.

Otherwise yeah I don't see them as spending all their time jumping into bed with people.

As for the secret! (HA, SEE, I'M PAYING ATTENTION) I'm of the belief that those who make the Turks 'Corneo's Angels' are begging to be mocked. And.. Scarlet? I don't personally think she's a slut shecouldwhipmeanytimeandI'dloveitshhhh but yeah, I can see how her dressing could make one think so.

Personally I thought most of the FF7 characters wouldn't even have -time- for sex. Like... Lulu and Wakka (AUGHUJGD) in FFX had that 'period of peace' to make babies and I guess Cloud and Tifa do too but.. yeah, I'm completely going off-topic. Point is, I don't see them being sexually active at all canonly. And I'd love to find out what happens when they DO after so long, bwahahaha. It'd be horrible.

5. Old fans are very protective over their stuff when the new kids come in and act like they know everything and ignore the fact that there were people doing this stuff before they came around. It turned me into a fandom bitch ... something I swore back in the day I'd never become.

I bet that's what all your buddies are thinking too. Y'think they butcher the characters on purpose? Unless they actually admit to not caring about how OOC it might be, they probably think their characterization is pretty near flawless. Maybe they think yours is off-kilter in the same way you do theirs. And who knows? Maybe your stories aren't a great example of who the characters truly are either.

Then again, I don't think you can be really spot-on when it comes to fanfiction. Nobody can say they understand it completely--you're only watching the show, after all. You didn't create it. You're just interpreting what you see characters do on the screen, and so is everyone else. People are bound to come up with different versions of them, not one version identical to the original (the creator's).

If you hate their versions so much you should be discussing it with them so they don't write crap anymore, not just laughing at their poor characterization behind their backs. Be gentle with them instead of shoving criticism up the naughty place with no lubricant, and they're likely to listen to you. In my experience, anyway.

Sorry if this sounds really harsh. I guess I'm just in a bad mood today, but I really needed to get that off my chest. Maybe I should have made it a secret instead. >_
