Nobody can say they understand it completely--you're only watching the show, after all. You didn't create it. You're just interpreting what you see characters do on the screen, and so is everyone else. People are bound to come up with different versions of them, not one version identical to the original (the creator's).
If you hate their versions so much you should be discussing it with them so they don't write crap anymore, not just laughing at their poor characterization behind their backs. Be gentle with them instead of shoving criticism up the naughty place with no lubricant, and they're likely to listen to you. In my experience, anyway.
Sorry if this sounds really harsh. I guess I'm just in a bad mood today, but I really needed to get that off my chest. Maybe I should have made it a secret instead. >_
