I'm one of those that loved the show and felt that it was more than enough.

I truly wish they would leave Neil alone, though.

I agree, the show was pretty overtly queer, in that if one of the male leads was replaced with a woman, with the same exact dialogue, edits, musical cues, etc. there’d be no doubt it was a romantic plot line. I get why people might be frustrated that it wasn’t explicitly so, but I also wish they’d leave NG alone about it, when he pretty clearly ships his own damn characters.
