*busts through the wall like the Kool-Aid man*

Can I interest you in some Wynonna Earp?

(not OP)

I always got an impression (strictly at secondhand) that WE was very, like... eat-your-veggies? would you say that's fair?

(Anonymous) 2019-07-16 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
NAYRT but... what does that mean?

(Anonymous) 2019-07-16 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
To me, "eat-your-veggies" generally means something that you're supposed to do because it's good for you, or responsible, or important, or whatnot, rather than because you actually want to do it. Maybe I just made that up, idk.

I guess in the context of Wynonna Earp, what I mean is - I've always gotten the sense that the femslash ship on WE is like somebody sat down and said "we're going to do a femslash ship on a show and we're going to do it RIGHT". And nobody's going to die, and it's going to have all the features that a femslash storyline should have, and it's going to be great. But I've always gotten a slight vibe like, it's great that it's doing all those things, but it doesn't necessarily stand on its own two feet as a romantic plot, separate from the fact that it's doing all the things it's supposed to do.

Like I say, it's just a feeling I get, IDK, I could be making it up.

You're making it up (or the people who have been reccing it to you are eat-your-veggies types). It's a fun, romantic relationship between two attractive characters and the only thing that I can think of that fits your impression is that the showrunners said they wouldn't kill either character.

???????? ????? ?????????

I'd like to buy a vowel!

.... maybe if 'eat your veggies' means "eat your fucking veggies" "what? tomato juice and celery is a veggie" *drinks a bloody mary*

I have no idea what you're asking?
