In what way is it overrated ? There's a difference between saying : "a lot of people liked this episode but I didn't like it as much" and stating that it's not as good as people think it is like you have an objective measure of what makes a television episode "worthy" of popularity". Boringness is very subjective. Some were entertained by this episode, some weren't. If you prefer bleak Dark Mirror episodes (you have plenty), more power to you. But bleakness and your subjective feeling of boredom are no means to determine the quality of the episode. I'm going to go on a limb there, but I'm sure lots of the praises for this episode comes from having a main w/w couple on a popular sci-fi tv series that pretty much got a true happy ending together. This happening in the Black Mirror universe makes it even sweeter.
