Smoked a bowl, watched a movie called The Last Picture Show (it was good), currently watching a baseball game. It's been a lazy Monday.

I'm about to head home from work. I had a hard time falling asleep last night and am really pooped, so after I make a salad for tomorrow's lunch, I'm going right to bed. Otherwise, I've been at work and enjoying the sunny yet mild, post-heatwave weather here. It was actually a bit cool outside when I woke up this morning!

Worked and had to deal with idiots who have no idea what they're doing. I can't wait for the end of the month when this project should (hopefully) be finished and I don't have to deal with these people anymore.

Day off. Went to the store, did the dishes, studying for my ged. I'm reviewing all the math I forgot and it feels like my brain is shrinking :( Otherwise a nice day.

I went to work, put in my two week notice, and then walked out after my hateful boss got even worse. Am now chilling at home with my cats and relishing the fact that I don't have to get up at 5:30am tomorrow.

Heading home from work and stopping for groceries on the way home. Possibly a bike ride after that, and watching the new episode of Harlots. I have tomorrow off so I can stay up late if I want to.

Had court this morning. My mother also had surgery this morning. Still have a migraine, so went back to bed for a few hours once I knew mom's surgery went okay. Now I'm watching my cat play with her new toy.

I had a doctor's appointment to look into my heartburn/etc/spontaneous vomiting.

Apparently the ultrasound I had the last time these symptoms came up did NOT make it back to the doctor (and since previously he only ever contacted me if something was abnormal, I assumed the results were clean, and since he sees a frillion people, and his system doesn't flag him if a patient is sent for tests but no results come back, it fell through both of our cracks).

So for now I am back on symptom controlling meds while he chases down my ultrasound. If it's clear, then he's going to send me to see a GI specialist and I might need a scope, since he doesn't want me to just keep taking meds to mask the symptoms without knowing what's causing said symptoms.

watched Boardwalk Empire, went to the dentist, found out I lost 4 pounds this week and the pool in my apt bldg is opening up again! yay!

Readying myself for my first appointment with my latest psychiatrist. It's going to be the same old bullshit. Life is getting harder because my family's getting shittier. I'm debating whether to walk out into nothing with no money and food and just die

I adopted a kitten yesterday. He's sweet and adorable and loves to cuddle. He came with the name Hobey, but my toddler decided his name is actually Rocco.

Dawwwww. He's adorable. Whichever name ends up as his, he looks like a very sweet kitty. I'm glad he's got a happy home where he's going to most likely be properly spoiled.

Awwww. My baby Jakey came with the name Havoc but that was the complete opposite of his personality so I had to change it. He is literally the reincarnation of a stoned surfer, so mellow. Havoc did NOT fit at all.

Not a textbook or like work-related book for a specific field, I know those can be expensive and you don't always have a choice about whether to buy them or not.

I mean just a random fiction book, especially if it's an author you're not familiar with and you're going entirely off of online reviews. How much is too much to spend in your opinion?
