If it's going to have bad writing, dropped plot points, and other sloppiness, it better give me some LOLS. I mean really, a gun opens the gate to Hell, evil ghost truck. LOLOLOL, oh wow bad. The demons have horrible dialog, they sound like teenagers throwing insults. Badly written horror amuses me. Supernatural is barely horror, it's like R.L Stine, kitty stuff, but it's gives me the funnies.

I can see the ewww factor. I am just really hard to gross or creep out.

Oh, you mean lols, I get it now. Sort of like how half of the Tartan Asia Extreme films have creepy ghost girls crawling out of some form of water, and/or have long black hair falling from the ceiling because that's so CREEPY. Lols like that. But like you said, your "weirdness factor is like over 9000, in terms of crazy, weird, and wtf creepy". Only the wacked out indie Japanese Horror and B-Movies are creepy and scary to you.

now OP is here - yeah, I meant creepy as in ewwwww for American television. Seriously, you don't see that on frakkin' primetime television on the CW of all things. Usually the writers would have found some way around that or just not even thought to pull something like that for fear of the wank. I felt a little proud that the writers seem to not care anymore.
I see what you're saying (because I honestly laughed at my sister for not being able to get through season 1 because it freaked her out too much - Supernatural doesn't scare me personally), but there's no need to be so elitist about it. I watch a ton of b-movies ($3 bin at Hastings, yo!), splatter film, and Japan horror, too, but it doesn't make me better than anyone.

Squeamish!anon from above here - I agree with you in that it's definitely not something you see on American tv. It's not something I thought about at the time (I live in Europe) but despite the creepiness, it was interesting that the show was willing to depict it. And Mitch Pileggi was terrifying D:
