There actually is a lot of difference between what an actor/singer has to do in a Broadway musical than what a singer would have to do just performing on stage, or an actor in front of a TV or movie camera. =X Of course, I don't know the situation, but. Maybe that could play into it?
115. Well, for your definition of "right," I had to kinda lol about how you stated that Dean had to be in character but... apparently not Castiel? Would Castiel non-conning Dean ever be in character? Now, I could see a few ways it could work myself, but. You know, in that universe, AND CONSIDERING THE DEFINITION OF ATHEIST/AGNOSTIC, if an angel suddenly came down to me, you can better believe I'd start reassessing my faith and my belief in God, because, you know, DUH. My beliefs come from the fact that I can be damn sure this is never gonna happen. Depending on whether you're characterizing "faith" for Dean being belief in God, or love for/trust in God, faith could very well be an IN CHARACTER RESPONSE. Even faith with a great deal of disgust.
Also, you know, every human being is a body with a personality inside it. Castiel is really no more of a "meatsuit" than Dean is. Just because he's not the body's original owner doesn't make it any less valid, though it could easily be more unsettling/questionable/creepy.

120. I'd think someone was ridiculous if they couldn't handle blood and gore in a game with that level of graphics, too. Shoot, even back when I was ridiculously squeemish and a scaredy-cat, that wouldn't have bothered me.

125. See, I hate to suggest it, but this attitude could quickly turn into a problem if you're not careful. You're in the "inner core" of this game, or what could/will become the inner core if and when the mod does decide to recruit new players again. If you and your friends curl up into this tight-knit ball in defense of the omg NEW players that you don't want to play with, congratulations, you will have just made yourself a clique. Which, as near as I can figure, is one of the easiest ways to tear apart a good game.
Less tl;dr try to stop worrying, relax, and be as welcoming and friendly to new people as you always are to each other. Don't accidentally become the drama and trouble that you're so desperately worried about keeping out of your game. ♥

I think it could be. Now mind, it would never be canon, but it could be in character. All we've seen him do is throw his weight around, regardless of Dean's desires. And I would honestly debate whether or not Castiel has proven to do anything good thus far. He's shown that he has great power, but also that he is chiefly domineering and overbearingly insistent. The only deed of his one could argue as good was removing Dean from hell, and the only reason we've seen so far that it was done was so Dean could do the angels' dirty work for them by handling Sam.
Castiel is really no more of a "meatsuit" than Dean is.
This is how the show and the fandom refer to demon's possessing human bodies. So we have to think of a more attractive monicker for Castiel because he is an angel?

Aha, I should have stated. I'm not really in the fandom, and I haven't been watching the last couple of seasons, though I'd like to catch back up. ;; Mostly I was actually intrigued about whether any of that WOULD be in character or not, and the secret drew my attention in the first place by stating it as "CASTIEL HAS TO NON-CON DEAN AND DEAN HAS TO BE IC!" because that phrasing made me laugh. XD; I wasn't aware that was the most common term! No problems with it now.

It is a very interesting characterization and interpretation for an angel. I would go so far as to say I don't even like Castiel because of it, which seems odd to say I dislike an angel. Although I do like him being a part of the show, if that makes sense. It makes for a fascinating dynamic.
And yes, meatsuit is not an attractive term, but it's what the writers gave us, so. One must make do!

I kind of love angels that are some varying degree of bastard. XD Aziraphale on one end of the scale (still a good angel), progressing through to Remiel and Duma from Sandman and Lucifer, then through to like... Islington and the Angel Sanctuary cast. ;;
Ah, I don't even mind it not being attractive, I just was a little confused because I thought it was an EW HOW GROSS argument... like, I dunno, I assumed they were meaning the body didn't count as "alive" if it was an angel or a demon puppeting it. WHICH IS ARGUABLE but again I don't know how the canon portrays that sorta thing so I can't really form a Supernatural-specific opinion.

Dean especially is setting a hard line that he doesn't think Castiel is telling the whole truth and isn't really willing to go along with his plans. Their relationship has been very antagonistic. Castiel has even gone so far as to threaten sending him back to hell if Dean doesn't "show him some respect" and do what he says. I could go into it more, but it would a massive load of spoilers and I don't want to be too cruel in case you do decide you'd rather catch up. ;)
